Teaching Purposeful Living is My Passion:
I have always been a teacher all my of life. Since I was a kid I always was sharing what I had learned with others. I have always been pulled to helping others, leading and teaching wherever I could. My mom was a teacher and it is something that runs in our blood. I never wanted to be the have an actual job kind of teacher. The typical one that you think of working for a public school teaching children pre-determined lesson plans. I knew that I wanted to create my own lesson plans. I wanted to teach people what I knew was important. Something that would be more meaningful to their lives than math or English. I wanted to help people fill their lives with laughter and pure unconditional love and joy.
I wanted to teach the things that aren’t taught in schools. Our society has taken over education and the lesson plans are missing HUGE elements crucial to living a happy life. Things that are taught in other cultures around the world. I want to teach people how to design a life that aligns with their essential self and how to start living that life.
I attended college at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. Since I wasn’t initially drawn to a career in teaching at a public school, I ended up going into business and majored in accounting. Math was always easy for me and helping others with math so it was a natural fit. I ended up getting my masters degree in accounting and became a Certified Public Accountant. I worked in accounting for about six years. After about six years of working I started to realize a pattern that the favorite part of my job was when I was helping others with their careers.
In my first job I had a lot of opportunity to mentor my co-workers and help them navigate their career. Once I realized that this is what I really loved. I started giving in to the pull for me to teach. I signed up for a career coaching class and was certified as a life coach.
As you can see from the photos above one of the things I love the most is hiking and going on adventures. There is something about the air in the mountains that isn’t like the air anywhere else. I am addicted to it in a weird sort of way. I also was born with this insane love of animals. There is a part of me that seriously wants to adopt every animal out there. It’s a little scary. I also love being creative and interior design. Another one of my favorite things to do is to entertain. I love getting people together and having a good time and I also love to travel and explore new places.
I am so grateful that life has given me the opportunity to teach others. Thank you so much for considering me as your life coach.
